About the Author

Jodi A. Hilty has served as the director of the North America Program for the Wildlife Conservation Society since October 2007, providing leadership on scientific applications to natural resource management and conservation. Trained as a conservation biologist at the University of California, Berkeley, she seeks creative, science-based solutions to resolve critical conflicts between humans and the natural world.
